Momence alternative
A lot of studios moved to Momence to get away from Mindbody. Then Clubessential acquired it in January 2025, and Clubessential merged into Xplor in March 2026. If the software you chose to escape consolidation has now been consolidated twice, you are allowed to be tired.

We pulled Momence’s full Trustpilot history — 412 reviews. The 297 the company invited average 4.93 out of 5. The 115 nobody invited average 1.87. Both numbers are real; only one of them is a customer volunteering an opinion.

Booking, memberships, waitlists, reporting and the member app are the product, not modules that appear on the invoice later.

Momence earned its reputation honestly in 2023–24 — it was the modern, friendly alternative and it moved fast. The product still does plenty well. What changed isn’t the software’s ambition, it’s who owns it and what happens to support afterwards.

Clubessential Holdings acquired Momence in January 2025. Clubessential then merged with Xplor Technologies, completing in March 2026. Momence is one of nine brands inside that group.
That’s the fairest question on this page, and the honest answer is: only if the thing that pushed you off Mindbody is happening again. If support has gone canned and the invoice keeps growing, the second move is easier than the first — you’ve done it before and we do the data work.
