Delete your account
Last updated: 19 August 2026
This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data. It applies to Strong OS and to the studio-branded apps we publish on Strong OS. The steps are the same in every one of them.
Delete your account from the app
The quickest way is in the app itself. It takes effect immediately.
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete my account at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm when asked. Your account and data are deleted straight away.
Delete your account by email
If you can’t sign in, or you fall into one of the cases below, email hello@strong-os.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account” and the name of your studio. We’ll confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
When the app can’t delete your account immediately
Two situations need a step first, and the app will tell you which one applies:
- You have an active membership subscription. Cancel it with your studio first, so you aren’t billed again, then delete your account.
- You’re a studio owner. An owner account can’t be deleted from the app, because it would take the studio’s bookings and members with it. Contact us at hello@strong-os.com to transfer the studio or close it down.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes, and this cannot be undone:
- Your sign-in credentials and profile — name, email address and phone number.
- Your class bookings, including past and upcoming classes, and any waitlist places.
- Your class packs and memberships, including any unused credits, which are forfeited and are not refundable on deletion.
- Your health questionnaire answers and any notes held on your member record.
- Your push notification registration, so the app stops contacting you.
What we keep, and for how long
We keep records of payments you have made — amount, date and what it was for. Your member record is removed from them, so they no longer identify you. We keep these because UK law requires businesses to retain financial records, normally for six years from the end of the relevant accounting period. They are used only for accounting, tax and audit.
Card payments are processed by Stripe, which keeps its own transaction records under its own retention rules. We never hold your full card details.
Backups are kept for up to 30 days. Deleted data can persist in a backup until it ages out, after which it is gone.
Who holds your data
Your studio is the data controller for its members’ data, and Strong OS processes it on the studio’s behalf. A deletion request through either route is honoured the same way. For the full picture of what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.
